Good - but not a 100W per channel amp, July 18, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pyle PLMRMP3A 4-Channel Waterproof MP3/iPod Marine Power Amplifier (Electronics) This amp will do well for most applications, especially the water resistant (NOT fully submersible) ones. Unfortunately like many amp manufacturers Pyle has chosen to exaggerate the amp's wattage rating beyond all reason.
This amp (like many other low end auto and motorcycle amps) is built on the Toshiba TA8210AHQ amplifier chip. In this case the amp has two chips with each servicing two channels. According to Toshiba this chip is rated at 22 watts per channel at 18 volts. At your average car voltage levels (12-14 or so) it will deliver less. There is no voltage boosting stage which would be required to anything deliver more than about 40 Watts bridged into 4 ohms and the TA8210 isn't rated for bridging anyway.
Note: The technical details posted on this unit as of 7/18/10 are also apparently for some other device. This unit has no AA batteries or USB connection.

After reviewing a lot of units, this one seemed to have everything I was looking for and at a great price. Comes with almost everything you need out of the box. Only thing missing is an on/off switch. Sounds great on the ski and was very easy to install. After seeing and hearing this little unit, my neighbor is buying one for his jet ski. Very glad I purchased.

This Amp powers these speakers perfected and doesn't hold anything back. I highly recommend this product!
